Regarding crime statistics, it's been steadily going down for years as you pointed out, however, as I am a FoxNewsMax Orphan - I can say without a doubt my parents are spoonfed the bullshit about crime daily. In their minds, no where is safe, poop and used needles cover the sidewalks of every major city. Nothing I say can combat the nonsense the TV tells them. It sucks.
