Nancy Lee Grahn, you are wonderful. I enjoyed this conversation so much. Thank you for sharing your fighting spirit that shines for our Democracy. You inspired me, and I needed this today. I appreciate you!
I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this episode and how it filled me with pride. I went to high school (and acted in plays) with Nancy’s sister, Wendy. Her mom, Barbara, directed me in a couple of shows. I stay in close touch with many of our high school friends. Still, this episode was an unexpected and welcome reminder that so many of us from that area turned out to be really good people.
I feel like there is a traditional truism that says the interests of rural America are diametrically opposed to those of the urban population. That may have been true at one time, but it is not as true any more. I mean, yes, city ppl like low food prices, and farmers need high enough prices to earn a decent living. However, in other matters, both rural and urban voters want: 1) affordable, decent healthcare; 2) access to an excellent public education, including technical subjects; 3) access to affordable housing; and 4) access to affordable broadband.
Let’s not forget that at least Kilmar is getting publicity, whereas there are about 200 more immigrants in CECOT who are not getting recognition or help.
You are so correct that the cover-up is tantamount to a guilty plea. Those girls were raped, and the US citizenry needs to know who the perps are. We must believe the survivors, who have been asking for accountability. This corrupt regime is hiding too many crimes--they need to be held accountable, all of them!
Can’t wait to listen! Two of my favorite beings - God and Nancy Lee Grahn!

Where was Jesus today (er, make that yesterday, now)? I think he would've liked speaking with her... :)

Huh?

I don’t understand how anyone can pay $250 million for what are basically tents.
Forgiving does not mean forgetting the lesson. It just means we stop being mad about it.
