On a non related topic. If the Gulf of Mexico was changed to the Gulf of America, why is there still a New Mexico rather then a New America?

LOL! Considering how much territory we got from Mexico in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848 (California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico [yep], etc.; it doubled the size of the U.S. and halved the size of Mexico [and theoretically, we promised to keep the region we got bilingual {English/Spanish} for the sake of the grand majority of the people living there, but they should've talked to the Native Americans about how we are with treaties...]), he oughta be more grateful to them. ;)

I'm firmly convinced that when he thought America was "great" was probably the Victorian Era...

On the other hand, I doubt he knows anything at all about history, so America not being great at any point is entirely in his rattling empty head. X-P

I want to forgive her. But she better do something to make up for it, like convince the other members of the cult to change their minds, too. And all of them should have to show up and harass lawmakers at least three times a week.

Amen! "Make it worthwhile." If you want forgiveness, you'd best be prepared to not only repent, but also atone.

There already are. Just ask the mothers in Africa whose babies died the past few weeks of starvation because of USAID being shut down or the people who were testing HIV-negative but who now are testing positive again without USAID medications. But don’t worry— the atrocities will be showing up here very soon as Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security all disappear so that the likes of Musk and the other billionaires can have their tax cuts.

So when I was in school, be it elementary, middle, high school or even college we had this thing called conflict resolution. As I understand this it is when all sides get to hash out their differences and with the help of meditation everyone has the chance to state what they would like and then once all sides have had their say they (everyone) try to come to an equal agreement. But as everyone knows trump, Vance, putin and most likely Elon hashed out what they want the people of Ukraine to except, not talking it over between ALL parties, they, Ukraine was told what they had to do to get help and to end this war. When ukrain's president tried to explain his side, since he wasn't allowed in the meeting with the above listed grifters he was told he was in the wrong, he should be grateful and he should apologize, apologize for what, standing up for his people, his country, I say NO, NO, NO he was blind sided and he was wronged. Our poor excuse for a president should be ashamed of himself and all the Republicans should also be ashamed. But in order to be ashamed you have to have morals and that is something ALL REPUBLICANS lack. If we last these four years and are still somewhat of a free nation I'm hoping we can rebuild our country and regain the trust of our allies.

No matter how many times these elected scum are called out, they will continue to kiss Trump's fat ass and vote for his UNAMERICAN AGENDA! THESE SCUM CAN'T GROW BALLS OR A SPINE! The problem is that the GOP is trying to fix the voting in districts to disenfranchise as many non MAGAs as they can, thus making it impossible to remove them. If they are removed and replaced both in the house and senate with those that don't fear Trump, Trump will be impeached and removed by late January 2027! I prefer a quicker way! It is too bad that there is no constitutional provision to recall congress members. If there were, these guys would be all of a sudden hearing their people. They have no fear in a dictatorship!

Yes, Tiara, but are you going to still vote for other GOP candidates in the future? You are sorry for voting for Chump, but are you willing to do what you should (vote Dem from now on) to help get rid of ALL the Magats???? Your apology means nothing unless you do. This goes for all regretful Magat voters. Thank you, God! Amen! Awomen!

Thank you, God. I had not seen anything about JD Vance being booed off of his ski resort vacation, but that made my day! I did hear that Joe Rogan interviewed Leon Musk and Musk said that he is intending to completely tear the Social Security system apart, lay off thousands of workers who process payments and otherwise wreak havoc with the Social Security system which he labeled a Ponzi scheme. I haven't looked, I'm hoping that mainstream media is reporting this interview, it should further the fight.

One more thing: a one-day boycott of Amazon is laughable. Please, people, join me in a boycott for the month of March, don't buy anything from Bozo's Monopoly that has made him an arrogant selfish billionaire. Then we can gather again near the end of March and likely continue for more months. I am sure that he sat back laughing when the one day boycott was called, most likely many people simply waited a day and then made their purchases. A month boycott will have some impact and we will see if the monster reacts.

The local Republican Rep Jim Stauber. R..Mn, has gone into hiding..has not been seen for a few weeks, no response from his office. Last weekend and planned again this weekend large demonstrations outside his still empty office.

I think he is running scared

Maybe Stauber is hiking the Appalachian Trail. Hehe 🙃

(From June 18 until June 24, 2009, Republican South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford's whereabouts were unknown and the media covered what was described as his disappearance. During the six days of absence, one of the excuses offered by Sanford's spokesperson was that Sanford was hiking the Appalachian Trail. Sanford reappeared and admitted that he had been in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair.)

Hmm! Just had a thought: anyone remember the old Schoolhouse Rock feature, /America Rock/ that they did for the Bicentennial? One of the songs there was an awesome one on the Constitution they did (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EfnNUt_nwY), and there were more all about how things worked.

If we had to have one new thing to do in order to be elected to ANY POSITION, be it President, dog catcher, or anywhere in between, I'd have it be this: have any candidate pass the same sort of civics test that any potential U.S. citizen has to pass.

(Fun fact: lots of people whose job it is to help immigrants become citizens use the song above to help them memorize the Preamble. The only difference is that the actual Preamble, being written up mostly by lawyers, is redundant; it's actually "We the People of the United States, [...] for the United States of America." The original song writers cut out the first "of the United States" to help the whole thing flow better. :D)

Oh, and let someone who's good at song parodies do something with that tune, something like:

"Flee the people"... ;-D
