When he starts his whining because he was shot people should remind him what he told those Iowa parents when they had their shooting incident, “Get over it!”

Would the Secret Service jump in if he went to Barcelona and the locals started shooting 🔫 squirt guns at the tourists? Does his hair dye or tanning lotion run more than usual in this hot weather 🤔 . How hot 🔥 does it need to be before he starts melting in the sunshine 🌞.

Don't let this take our eyes off beating him at the ballot box. That is our democracy's first line of defense.

YES! We need to show up for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They are our only hope to keep democracy in America.

It's the first thought I had, that Donald staged this whole thing, including the deaths of two people. The timing is just too perfect and the fact that the shooter was an abysmally bad shot was my first clue. Also, he was too eager to jump back up and fist-pump the hell out of his audience instead of running screaming off throwing women and children behind him in his wake.

I thought that too. Seemed like a really convenient photo op to me. We’ve seen the Secret Service in the past protecting someone who has been shot. They basically tackled that person to the ground and rushed them out of the situation. This was like, let’s pause here for a photo op.

Also, what secret service dude would be tending a bleeding ear, while the possible victim refuses to leave the stage without putting his shoes on (from an eyewitness)? The drop down wasn't that aggressive that it knocked him out of his shoes, so why were they even off? Then to do the fist pump on stage and at the car. REEKS of a set up. Would HE care if it cost 2 people their lives? Not if it got him airtime, sympathy and money.

If his feet smell reputably as bad as his farts do, then shoes would trump blood. They are prepared for this contingency. There are gas masks in the bullet proof limo that hauls his majesty.

Like the scumbag Presidential candidate at the ending of the movie "The Dead Zone". (I didn't read the book.) Except for the last scene. Trump is way too chickensh-t to take that step.

Mine, too! That it was planned and staged. Right at the start of the nightly world news hour, too. A "near miss", and to heck with the bystanders or shooter, who wasn't going to get paid, anyway. And look how it instantly changed the media focus from bad Donnie's pecodillos and Project 2025. Interestingly, I haven't heard any discussion of gun control.

We all know what Karma says, and she will bite you in the ass (or EAR in this case) when it's due.

Trump and the GOP's hate rhetoric for the last 8-10 yrs has only caused our country to be more divided and hateful. Now they're wondering how this could happen in our country? Are you f'ing kidding me !?!? Maybe it's time for all of them to take responsibility, think about their actions and what their mouths have done to cause this horrific division in this country and all the killing. Any REAL Christian wouldn't wish their opponent dead or speak like a fascist every time their at a rally. After all God, didn't you say we would should love our neighbors and help the poor?

I think they forgot that part !!

Did you hear that recently, 38 thousand Christians signed a document of some sort saying that because they are devote Christians, that they are thereby bound by that faith to oppose any sanctioned melding of church and government. 👍. But... Only 38 thousand people? Given the U.S. population, that's maybe half a drop in the bucket 🪣.

The event caused me to look at Twitter for the first time in months. Good to know it’s still a hellscape. One thing I noticed is that the popular blue dem accounts I follow had trolls screaming, “ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!” In the comments and followed by a bunch of expletives. Yikes.

A sad event. But it reminded me that as Hitler was establishing himself as a dictator, there were about 14 attempts to assassinate him. Most of the attempts were by people concerned about Hitler’s threat to democracy and the rule of law.

Listening to Republicans decry violence, aghast that this could happen in America. Perhaps they should listen to Trumps hate filled speeches, his calls for violence against the judiciary and the media among many others. The Republicans are the ones constantly denying Americans reasonable gun laws. I can see him milking this event, accusing Joe Biden of being responsible. He never requires evidence for his many accusations. I can also envision him equating this with being in the military. The other people who were shot are tragic collateral damage - all very sad.
